A new THC beverage company based in Windsor has launched its first two products.
Float House has made the two THC-infused, non-alcoholic beers available exclusively in Connecticut. It has also discussed making them available later this year via an online, direct-to-consumer portal.
THC IPA and THC Lite are the first in what the company plans will be a range of products combining low-dose THC derived from hemp with a non-alcoholic beer. They’re also low-carb, low-calorie and low-sugar.
Float House says its targeting evolving consumer tastes, which have caused the non-alcoholic beverage market to grow rapidly in recent years. Combining N/A beer with THC is relatively new. Float House joins a handful of companies in Illinois, Colorado and North Carolina.
The company says the hemp-infused beverage category more generally is projected to reach $4.1 billion in value by 2028.
“Connecticut is the perfect place to launch — our team has deep roots here,” said Founder Gordon Whelpley, CEO of Float House. “We’re tapping into the state’s reputation for innovation in non-alcoholic beer and introducing something truly revolutionary.”
“We’re at the intersection of two rapidly growing markets: non-alcoholic beer and THC-infused beverages, and there’s a tremendous opportunity here,” said Co-Founder and CCO Jared Emerling.
