Windsor-based Specialty Printing lands $11.5M private equity investment; will add 50 new jobs

Advantage Capital has invested $11.5 million in Specialty Printing, a Windsor-based manufacturer of labeling products, to support the company’s growth and a workforce expansion, the firms announced Tuesday.

The financing is expected to create 50 new jobs at Specialty Printing’s 330,000-square-foot facility.

The company currently employs 215 people and manufacturers pressure-sensitive and sustainable labeling products primarily for the grocery, medical and logistics industries.

“This funding comes at a critical time in our company’s growth trajectory, and I am happy our business is able to benefit from the InvestCT program,” said Bill Bailey, chief executive officer of Specialty Printing. “This funding provides us with the financial flexibility needed to execute our growth strategy, continue innovating in sustainable labeling solutions and support our customers nationwide with high-quality label products.”

Advantage Capital, a New Orleans-based investment firm focused on underserved areas, said the capital will help Specialty Printing streamline operations, increase efficiency and position the company for new business opportunities.
