TRC, a Windsor-based energy transition consulting firm backed by private equity, has acquired Garanzuay Consulting, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
With a workforce of more than 8,000 across its global offices, TRC provides engineering consulting and construction management to the power, environmental, infrastructure and oil and gas industries.
Garanzuay specializes in providing services to transmission system operators, utilities and energy market operators.
TRC has been on a growth track in recent years. In January, TRC acquired Locana, a geospatial technology company with a large presence in the U.K.
Formerly a publicly traded company, TRC itself was acquired in 2017 by New Mountain Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, and then bought by Warburg Pincus in 2021.
