Two Wilton residents have proposed building 20 townhouses on five adjoining properties in Stamford, according to plans filed with the city.
Eugene and Moon Chun, doing business as Woodway Pines LLC, plan to construct three buildings on parcels at 9 and 15 Woodway Road and 0, 1321 and 1325 Hope St. The properties would be turned into a 1.36-acre parcel if the proposal is approved, the application said.
The 2.5-story buildings would abut each other on the property. One building would contain nine units, another would have six and another would have five. Each townhome would have three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The property would have 45 parking spaces, the application said.
Three of the five properties have residential dwellings that are slated for demolition, but it isn’t clear if they have been razed yet. An email to the applicants was not immediately returned.
The proposed development would designate two townhouses as below-market-rate units.
“The proposed development complies with all zoning set back requirements and conditions,” the application stated. “It is also in conformity and consistent with the existing character of the surrounding neighborhood.”
The city’s Zoning Board is scheduled to review the proposal on Aug. 26.
