Willimantic lender SI Financial Group Inc. posted a dip in second-quarter net income.
The parent of Savings Institute Bank & Trust Co. netted $707,000, or 7 cents a share, in the three months ended June 30, down from $713,000, or 7 cents a share, the same period last year.
SI said the lower net was mainly due its shareholder-approved charitable contribution of $500,000 before taxes to SI Financial Group Foundation during the first quarter.
SI had quarter-end assets of $949.2 million vs. $926.4 million a year earlier.
