Avon-based In Vitro Sciences says it’s added an Illinois group of reproductive clinics to its growing U.S. network, marking the next step in a private equity-backed expansion that began last fall.
In Vitro (IVS), which provides management and strategic services to fertility clinics that help them grow, said its newest partner clinic is InVia Fertility, which lists four locations in Chicago’s northern suburbs.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, marks IVS’ entry into the Midwest market.
“With multiple partnerships in Connecticut, Arizona, and New York, IVS has already established an ambitious growth plan in the Southwest and Northeast,” IVS said in a statement. “The partnership with InVia Fertility will create a new roadmap for IVS in the Midwest region, and will put IVS in a new growth position within the Chicago area and beyond.”
Boston and San Francisco-based Sverica Capital Management spun out IVS last year from Women’s Health USA (Whusa), which Sverica bought in 2017 for an undisclosed sum from Connecticut serial entrepreneur Robert Patricelli, who founded the company in the late 1990s.
IVS named its first CEO, Derek Larkin, in May.
