Whittlesey’s Donovan a ‘Woman To Watch’

Whittlesey manager Katherine Donovan has been named one of Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA) inaugural class of “Women to Watch.” The award recognizes the contributions female CPAs are making in the state.

Donovan has been with Whittlesey for more than seven years, with a concentration in assurance services for closely held businesses, employee benefit plans, and nonprofit organizations. She is a member of Whittlesey’s closely held business niche and employee benefits subcommittee, spearheads the firm’s community‐driven events, and serves on multiple nonprofit boards and young professional committees.

Donovan earned her MS in accounting and taxation from the University of Hartford and a BS in business administration with a degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut.Founded in Hartford in 1961, Whittlesey is one of the largest regional CPA and consulting firms in New England, with offices in Hamden, Hartford and Holyoke, Mass.

Jeffrey S. Sattler has joined Liberty Bank in Middletown as vice president, senior commercial relationship manager. Sattler comes to Liberty with more than 35 years of experience in commercial lending, most recently as senior vice president, commercial loan officer at the Savings Institute Bank & Trust Co. in Willimantic. Sattler holds a BS in political science/history and business management from Springfield College.

Jodi Latina, chief of staff for New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart, will return to TV reporting when she rejoins WTNH-TV as a reporter a decade after her initial stint at the New Haven station ended. Latina worked for WTNH from 2000 to 2009. Her broadcast career also included a stint at WFSB-TV in Hartford. Latina has been Stewart’s chief of staff since 2015. Her last day at New Britain City Hall will be Jan. 3.
