Iowa media company Meredith Corp., owner of WFSB Channel 3 in Rocky Hill, will take over management of Atlanta’s Peachtree TV, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
The station will remain a property of Atlanta-based Turner Entertainment Network but be run by Meredith, which also runs Atlanta’s CBS affiliate WGCL-TV.
WFSB also is a CBS affiliate. Meredith, based in Des Moines, Iowa, also publishes magazines.
Koonin said Peachtree TV’s business operations — management, production and sales — will be assumed by and based with CBS Atlanta. Some employees will lose their jobs.
