Wethersfield retail properties — including home of Max Bibo’s, Vito’s — sell for $3.25M and $2.9M 

Two retail properties along the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield recently sold in separate multimillion-dollar deals.

In a deed recorded Nov. 21, a 25,463-square-foot, multi-tenant retail building at 675-687 Silas Deane Highway sold for $3.25 million to West Hartford-based Wethersfield Plaza LLC.

The buyer’s principals include Qiau Ying Zhao, Syed Saqib Ali and Sheng Zhao.

The seller, Wells Road Associates LLC, was represented by Alexis Augsberger, a first vice president with CBRE.

Augsberger said the property, which was nearly 95% occupied at sale, saw robust interest and received multiple offers.

Tenants include gourmet deli Max Bibo’s and Vito’s Restaurant.

“These nice neighborhood strip centers continue to stay fairly well occupied,” Augsberger said. “This is an up-and-coming area of Wethersfield.”

In a separate sale recorded Dec. 13, a 13,900-square-foot building on 1.3 acres at 1100 Silas Deane Highway sold for $2.9 million. The 26-year-old building hosts a Walgreens.

The seller was Prime Development Group.

Andrew Silberfein, of New Canaan, is principal of the buyer, Centerco Wethersfield II LLC.
