The Western Connecticut Health Network launched a $50 million fundraising campaign that will help finance research initiatives and a new patient tower at Danbury Hospital.
As of last week Western Connecticut Health Network, which is the parent to Danbury and New Milford hospitals, already raised $30 million, according to Western Connecticut Health Network President and CEO John M. Murphy.
The campaign, called “Imagine Build Transform”, will support funding for research, a new patient tower at Danbury Hospital, and the expansion of both the Danbury and New Milford emergency departments, among other projects.
Some direct results of the campaign are already up and running, including the new Spratt Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Danbury Hospital, which has the capacity for over 400 patients a year.
