A West Hartford-based energy-efficiency company, Environmental Systems Corp., has been acquired by a Maryland-based firm.
Fidelity Building Services Group recently announced that it had acquired Environmental Systems as part of a strategic expansion. Fidelity is a national provider of energy-efficiency services, including energy consultation and advanced building system integrations.
Environmental Systems provides similar services for clients including commercial, industrial, health care, education, government, utilities and municipalities throughout the Northeast.
“We knew it was time to find a partner to take our company to the next level,” said Craig McCurdy, president of Environmental Systems. “We had no shortage of options but found Fidelity to be by far the best for us. The company’s vision, talent, and culture are world-class and can clearly bring us where we want to be.”
As part of Fidelity’s Energy & Sustainability Group, Environmental Systems will continue to provide services to its clients.
As of 2018, Environmental Systems had 140 full-time employees and two part-time employees.
