Business advisory firm blumshapiro announced Friday it has merged with SunBlock Systems, Inc., a Virginia-based cybersecurity firm.
As part of the deal, which went into effect Oct. 1, Sunblock has become a division of West Hartford-based blumshapiro.
Terms of the merger weren’t released.
“With the addition of SunBlock Systems Inc., we are significantly increasing our capabilities by providing clients with world-class expertise in the ever-growing area of global security and intelligence,” blumshapiro chief executive Joseph A. Kask said in a statement.
Sunblock, which consults on technical and legal issues, says its areas of expertise include digital forensics, eDiscovery, cyber-intelligence and deep and dark web monitoring, due diligence and investigative support, cyber breach investigations and technology consulting.
The deal represents the latest expansion play by blumshapiro. In August, the firm made its latest acquisition in Massachusetts, where it also opened a Worcester office earlier this year.
