A 3,419-square-foot professional office building in West Hartford that recently sold for $1.1 million will become a veterinary vision clinic.
The roughly six-year-old building on a little more than a quarter-acre at 312 North St. was sold by 312 North Main Street LLC to Property VR1 LLC, of New Fairfield in a deal recorded by the town on May 31.
The building previously housed home healthcare and aide service Companions for Living, whose president, Julianne Roth, is also principal of the LLC that recently sold the building.
The buyer’s principals are Dr. Kyle Tofflemire, of New Fairfield and Carolyn Cassidy-Lopez, of Hopewell Junction, New York. Tofflemire is a veterinarian and principal with Veterinary Revision, an eye clinic for pets located in veterinary offices in New York and West Hartford. Cassidy-Lopez is Veterinary Revision’s head licensed veterinary technician.
Tofflemire said he plans to consolidate his clinic to the single new location in West Hartford, as it is a well-designed and a newer building in a “welcoming,” and centrally located, community.
Tofflemire, in an email to the Hartford Business Journal, said he expects to open the new location, with himself, Cassidy-Lopez and two to three additional staff, by the end of the year following renovations.
