Brooklyn home furnishings retailer West Elm will open a location this fall in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square.
The 9,043-square-foot store will be the company’s second retail location in Connecticut – the first is in Westport – and will occupy the space next to Janie & Jack at the West Hartford retail location.
Blue Back Square, which boasts another 35 stores, is an ideal location for West Elm because it complements the mall’s retail mix, which is higher end with stories like Crate & Barrel, White House Black Market, REI, Charming Charlie and Ooh La La Boutique, said Elizabeth Zigmont, marketing director at Blue Back Square.
West Elm’s concept is for stylized home furnishings that emphasizes authenticity, affordability and approachable products. The company offers complimentary design services and handcrafted collections.
