West Elm is opening its second Connecticut home-furnishings store featuring locally sourced products in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square on Thursday.
The more than 9,000-square-foot store is at 91 Memorial Road employs between 25 to 30 workers, the Brooklyn, N.Y. retailer said.
“West Hartford Center has served as a community hub for more than a century,” West Elm President Jim Brett said. “Our new store in Blue Back Square will continue this tradition by serving as a destination for people to discover and connect with new local makers and artists from across the state.”
West Elm’s other Connecticut store is in Westport. The Blue Back Square store will be in the former Ann Taylor location.
