Wesleyan U’s rainmaker to Conn College

Ann Goodwin, Wesleyan University’s chief fundraiser, is leaving her alma mater for a similar post at Connecticut College in New London.

Goodwin’s appointment as Conn College’s vice president of college advancement, leading Conn’s fundraising and alumni relations efforts, is effective July 1, the 1,900-student private liberal-arts school said Thursday.

At Wesleyan in Middletown, she helped lead two major fundraising campaigns, the first of which exceeded its $250 million goal by more than $30 million, Conn College said.

Conn is coming off its most successful fundraising campaign ever, last June raising $211 million — $11 million above goal.
