Wells Fargo has filed a notice with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency stating that it will close a branch at 761 Highland Ave. in the Town Plot section of Waterbury.
The San Francisco-based bank also recently announced that it will close locations in Danbury and Darien effective July 26.
There are two other Wells Fargo branches in Waterbury, one at 800 Wolcott St. and the other at 224 Chase Ave.
The Comptroller of the Currency received the closing notice on May 16.
Wells Fargo is considered one of the “Big Four Banks” in the United States and has its main offices in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
