An independent welding company bought an industrial building in Oxford and will relocate from its current location in neighboring Southbury.
Amanda Pakula, owner of Anvil CT LLP, bought the 19,580-square-foot building at 234 Christian St., Oxford, from Sophie Zara Lazerbeaumara LLC and principal Lindsay Ruppel for nearly $1.3 million.
Stephen Press of Press Cuozzo represented the seller, while Mary Buckley of Godin Property Brokers represented Anvil in the Aug. 17 transaction.
The one-story warehouse built in 1978 sits on 2.5 acres in an industrial area near the Waterbury-Oxford Airport. The property has a total appraised value of $900,000.
Press said Paukla is currently renting space in Southbury and will move her operations to the Oxford facility where she will have more room.
Anvil CT is a family-owned welding, fabrication and manufacturing shop that manufactures parts and signs via its CNC plasma table, and conducts remote welding and sandblasting work, small weld repairs, custom railings and body repairs on heavy equipment.
