Webster Bank and Whalers Sports & Entertainment signed a three-year agreement for the Waterbury regional bank giant to be presenting TV sponsor of Hartford’s Connecticut Whale American Hockey League team.
In addition to in-arena signage and hospitality at downtown Hartford’s XL Center, Webster will receive promotional exposure across various forms of media. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Webster Bank will be the presenting sponsor of the five-game “Whale TV” Connecticut Whale telecast package for the 2011-2012 season on Connecticut’s CW affiliate, WCCT-TV.
The Whale’s games will be televised for the first time since the 2006-07 season, starting with Saturday’s 7 p.m. matchup with the Providence Bruins, officials said.
