Paul Mollica, who helped Webster Bank plant its flag nearly two years ago in the Boston banking market, has been given a new title and extra responsibilities.
Mollica is now president – a new post — of the Waterbury lender’s Boston region, where he has served as senior vice president and regional manager since the office opened at 100 Franklin St. in 2009.
His new duties increase his commercial banking focus as well as the coordination of Webster’s business and community affairs activities in the greater Boston area.
Mollica joined Webster in 2007. Before that, he various roles for Bank of America.
Mollica, who lives in Abington, is a director of the South Shore YMCA and is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
