Waterbury regional lender Webster Bank has seated New Canaan community banker Peter N. Russell in a newly created post overseeing lending at its Webster Private Bank division.
A Fairfield resident, Russell is senior vice president and director of private bank lending, based in the Stamford office. He reports to Webster Private Bank chief Dan FitzPatrick.
Russell previously was chief credit officer for Bankwell Financial Group in New Canaan. Before that, he was a senior credit officer at HSBC Bank USA and The Bank of New York, and was a relationship manager at Wachovia, Chase Manhattan Private Bank and Citigroup. He has a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University.
Webster Private Bank provides premium banking and customized lending, investment management, fiduciary, and planning advisory services to individuals, families, and charitable entities with at least $1 million in investable assets.
