Webster Bank says it is extending $13.5 million in credit to a Stoughton, Mass., fleet refueler to expand its operations.
In exchange, Diesel Direct Inc. has named Webster its primary bank, including for cash-management services, Webster said.
Diesel Direct got a $12 million loan for working capital and another $1.5 million to finance new equipment, the lender said.
Founded in 1998, Diesel Direct runs a fleet of tankers that refuel commercial trucks while they are parked overnight. It operates in New England, New York, the mid-Atlantic states and California.
The financing is part of Webster’s ambitious plan to deepen lending in New England through its Boston commercial-loan office.
