Webster gets new accounting chief

Waterbury-based Webster Financial Corp. has named Douglas O. Hart to be its new senior vice president and chief accounting officer. Hart will oversee all accounting and treasury operations of both Webster Financial Corp. and Webster Bank and report directly to Chief Financial Officer Jerry Plush. Hart, a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry, was most recently a senior executive vice president for treasury operations and deposits at MBNA Corp.
