Webster doles out new loans

Waterbury-based Webster Bank, a division of Webster Financial Corp., is the first lending institution in the state and second in the nation, to begin using the Patriot Express Loan program, providing military veterans with preferential pricing terms on loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration. The loans support the start-up or expansion of small businesses.
