Waterbury-based Webster Bank has tapped Rose Mauriello as the Small Business Administration sales specialist vice president.
Mauriello will focus on training and educating retail branch personnel across Webster’s four-state footprint on SBA lending programs, including origination, processing and closing of SBA loans, as well as ensuring compliance with SBA rules and regulations.
In total, Webster expects to originate more than $850 million in new loans to businesses this year, an increase of $400 million over 2009.Â
“Rose joining the Webster team underscores our commitment to expand business lending and help finance the region’s economic recovery,” said Anne Slattery, executive vice president for retail banking. “Her expertise in SBA lending will further enhance our ability to serve small business customers with programs that are especially valuable in the current economic climate.”Â
Mauriello, who has 16 years of experience in SBA lending, was most recently with National Cooperative Bank as the SBA portfolio relationship manager.Â
