Webster Bank has announced the promotions of Christopher Motl, Samuel Hanna, Randall Blattner, Josephine Moran and Brian Runkle.
Motl, executive vice president, middle market banking, was promoted to executive vice president, head of commercial banking. He will lead all commercial banking business units: sponsor and specialty finance; middle market banking; commercial real estate; Webster Business Credit Corp.; Webster Capital Finance; and treasury and payment solutions/government and institutional banking. Motl will also become a member of the executive management committee. He also was promoted to executive vice president of Webster Financial Corp. Motl joined Webster in 2004.
Hanna, senior vice president, director, Webster Capital Finance, will now lead middle market banking at Webster Bank. Hanna, who joined Webster in 2006, succeeds Motl. Additionally, Richard Matte, senior vice president, Webster Capital Finance, will add operational responsibilities to his sales leadership duties.
Blattner, Moran and Runkle all were promoted to senior vice president.
Blattner, based in New Britain, is director, business applications delivery and brings more than 20 years of IT experience to the chief information officers group. Prior to joining Webster, Blattner worked for the Bank of Oklahoma.
Moran, based in Southington, is sales manager, Webster Investments Services. She has more than 25 years of industry experience. Most recently, she worked for Columbia Bank in New Jersey.
Runkle, based in Waterbury, leads transformation and operational excellence. He has more than 20 years of experience, most recently at GE Capital.
