Farmington tax-accounting firm Kostin Ruffkess & Co. named Kevin C. Leahy as chief executive officer of its financial planning and wealth advisory division.
Leahy will oversee client accounts and operations in KR Wealth Management’s three offices in Farmington, New London and Springfield.
He succeeds retiring CEO Robert B. Mauterstock, who in 1999 merged his wealth-management practice with Kostin Ruffkess. Leahy joined Kostin Ruffkess nine years ago as director of financial planning, moving over later to practice at KR.
As a KR partner, the firm said Leahy has overseen a 300 percent increase in assets under management in the last seven years.
