Wealth management firm to expand, move headquarters to Stamford

A leading wealth management firm is expanding in Fairfield County, with plans to add about 250 jobs, Gov. Ned Lamont’s office announced Monday.

Mirador, which has 65 employees, is relocating its headquarters from Darien to Stamford at 850 Canal St., in the South End near the Stamford Media Village redevelopment. This building has “a new retail facade with display windows, new entrances and lobby sporting an urban, industrial vibe,” according to a real estate listing.

Current employees are expected to move by the end of summer.

Mirador was founded in 2015 and provides financial services for endowments, foundations and wealth managers. It offers consolidated financial reporting, expert services and an adviser technology platform.

“Building our business from a one-room, 350-square-foot suite and now moving into a new 20,000-square-foot headquarters in six short years is humbling and exciting at the same time,” Joseph Larizza, founder and managing partner of Mirador, said in a statement. “We can’t wait to move our employees into a space we can call our own and make Stamford our new home.”

Lamont credited the state’s “top flight” workforce with helping Mirador to grow.
