Watertown machine shop parent acquired

The parent company of a Watertown, Connecticut manufacturer is being acquired by Red Arts Capital, a Chicago-based investment firm specializing in supply chain businesses.

Prime Engineered Components, previously a three-generation family business based in Watertown, makes metal parts used in the defense, medical, automotive and aerospace sectors. It was acquired in 2020 by KKSP Precision Machining.

Now KKSP will become part of Red Arts Capital, marking that firm’s first foray into advanced manufacturing.

Red Arts says its investment will recapitalize KKSP to support the company’s continued growth, including future acquisitions.

“KKSP’s rich history in precision machining complements our vision of building a diversified portfolio of supply chain-related businesses,” said Nicholas Antoine, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Red Arts.
