Waterbury investors pay $2.47M for Torrington medical office building

A pair of Waterbury-based real estate investors recently paid $2.47 million for a 13,871-square-foot medical office building in Torrington.

Mayer Behrend and Jason Katz, both of Waterbury, are the listed principals of two limited liability companies that bought a 65% share of 52 Peck Road, in Torrington, in a deal recorded by the city on Jan. 25. Katz is the sole listed principal of another limited liability company that bought the remaining 35%.

The roughly 22-year-old building on 1.2 acres at 52 Peck Road was sold by Torrington-based 52 Peck Road Associates LLC, whose principal is Torrington builder Allan R. Borghesi.

Katz is principal of another LLC that paid $1.5 million for the 28,000-square-foot medical and office building at 228 Meadow St. in January 2021.
