Waterbury chemical manufacturer acquires Ohio company

Waterbury chemical manufacturer MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions announced it has acquired an Ohio company that produces and sells finishing and cleaning chemicals.

MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, which makes chemicals for surface coating applications for various industries such as aerospace and automotive, said it has purchased All-Star Chemical Co. for an undisclosed sum. 

Established in 1983, All-Star Chemical is a family owned and operated business that serves customers across the Midwestern U.S., the companies said. 

Brian Saas, president of All-Star Chemical Co., will be joining the MacDermid Enthone team,  the companies said.  
MacDermid Enthone is a subsidiary of publicly traded specialty chemicals company Element Solutions Inc., which is headquartered in Florida.
