Water authority to unveil 4,000 solar panels

The South Central CT  Regional Water Authority said it plans to unveil a 4,000-panel solar installation at its Hamden facility on Friday.

The ground-mounted array, installed by SolarCity, is located at the SCCRWA’s water treatment facility at 4135 Whitney Ave.

It’s expected to generate more than 1.4 million kilowatt-hours of energy per year.
