Retailer Walmart says it will remodel 10 stores in Connecticut this year, as part of a nationwide upgrade of 650 locations.
Stores in Avon, Cromwell, Torrington and Naugatuck will see improvements, along with those in Norwalk, West Haven, Branford, Old Saybrook, Waterford and Groton.
The retailer is focusing on technology in its upgrades, including a store-based app experience that helps customers navigate the aisles.
It will also offer expanded pickup and delivery services, including express delivery options and will update its vision centers and pharmacies with private consultation rooms.
Walmart says the remodel includes wider aisles, improved layouts, interactive displays, an expanded assortment of healthy foods and new upscale brand offerings.
The company said it has invested more than $68 million in store upgrades across the state over the past five years.
