Wallingford energy efficiency firm Competitive Resources Inc. has completed more than 10,000 audits of multi-family units since it started offering the service in 2011.
Instead of just focusing on single-family homes, CRI looks to apartment complexes, multi-family houses, and condominiums to perform efficiency work like switching out light bulbs and weather-stripping leaks.
At the end of 2013, CRI was awarded a contract to offer Home Energy Solutions-Income Eligible housing audits to customers of Connecticut Light & Power, adding to its service territory that included United Illuminating.
