A Wallingford-based online custom apparel retailer has been acquired by a New York private-equity backed online printing company.
H.I.G Capital LLC said its portfolio company Digital Room Inc., a provider of online printing and marketing collateral, has acquired Logo Sportswear Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The Wallingford company focuses on e-commerce sales of customized jackets, polos, caps, jerseys and bags for brands including LogoSportswear, TeamSportswear and tfund.
Logo Sportswear, which has 140 employees in Wallingford, will continue operating under its name at 12 Beaumont Road. The company will add to its workforce following the acquisition, a spokeswoman said Monday.
The company began selling customizable apparel, workwear, and uniforms to large and small companies, groups, events, teams and sports fans over 20 years ago.
H.I.G. Capital says it manages $28 billion of global equity capital.
