Wallingford billboard company Independent Outdoor Network has completed an acquisition that allows it to operate several hundred static and digital displays in six states.
Independent Outdoor acquired the displays in Wisconsin, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois and Missouri from New York City-based OUTFRONT Media Inc. In exchange, Independent Outdoor sold its Boston billboards to OUTFRONT Media, said David Gannon, Independent Outdoor’s CEO, and representatives of OUTFRONT Media.
The transaction gives Independent Outdoor new footholds in market areas like Milwaukee; Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson, S.C.; St. Louis and Springfield, Mo., among others.
The billboard company owns more than 1,000 static and digital displays throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, and Missouri.
