W. R. Berkley scion named COO

The son of William R. Berkley, founder of his eponymous Greenwich property-casualty insurance company, has been named chief operating officer.

W. Robert Berkley, 37, assumed his duties at W. R. Berkley Co. on Wednesday, the company said.
