A West Hartford maker of education-performance software has introduced a new online teacher-training tool.
SchoolChapters Inc. says its College-Pro B portal allows users of the widely used Blackboard Learn instruction system easily link up and access information in both systems.
The College-Pro B is being marketed directly to U.S. community colleges, many of which use Blackboard Learn, CEO Claudia Reuter said Tuesday. Prices weren’t disclosed.
SchoolChapters sells a suite of software to manage the evidence educators compile to demonstrate their educational programs’ quality and alignment with standards.
The company says its offerings are used in more than 1,000 classrooms across the country in multiple settings including YMCAs, Head Starts, public school districts, corporate centers, Department of Defense centers, and colleges and universities.
Last August, SchoolChapters received $670,000 from equity investors, including $250,000 from the state’s quasi-public technology investing arm, Connecticut Innovations Inc.
Equity investors, including Vital Financial, SCI Investors, Vestal Capital and an individual, put in the rest.
