Rhode Island jewelry brand Alex and Ani said it has hired West Hartford resident Harlan M. Kent as president.
Until 2014, Kent was CEO of Yankee Candle, headquartered in Massachusetts. He then did a brief stint as CEO of clothing retailer C Wonder.
Kent is a former board member of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.
Alex and Ani, backed by a private equity firm, sells its products online, at its own stores and through major retailers.
