W. Hartford, North Haven IT service providers merge

Two Connecticut companies that provide information technology support and management services to small and mid-sized businesses have merged.

West Hartford-based IT Direct and North Haven-based ITG Cloud said the combined business would continue under the IT Direct name, and would keep the existing office locations.
The two private companies did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.

The two firms didn’t disclose current employee counts, however, IT Direct said it had 33 employees as of March 2019, according to Hartford Business Journal’s Book of Lists.

“This merger combines two powerhouses in IT services within the state of Connecticut, offering an extended reach throughout the state as well as a large pool of technology talent,” the companies said in their announcement Wednesday.
