West Hartford-based fintech New Silver announced Monday it has acquired Mayflower Venture Partners, a Quincy, Massachusetts-based venture capital firm.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
New Silver, based at 28 North Main St. in West Hartford, began as a startup offering software as a service, but has e
volved into a lending platform that provides capital to real estate developers.
Mayflower Venture Partners specializes in fix-and-flip and new construction loans for single-family and small multifamily properties throughout New England.
New Silver said the acquisition allows it to expand in New England, while giving Mayflower's clients access to a broader suite of loan products and greater capital capacity to fund larger and more complex deals.
Following the deal, Mayflower Venture Partners' team will continue to serve existing and new clients under the New Silver platform, officials said.
