West Hartford retirement care center The Mercy Community has earned a $30,000 rebate through participation in Energize CT’s energy efficiency program.
The care center installed high efficiency boiler units and new hot water tanks at the facility’s Frances Warde Towers Apartments, which accounts for the heating of all 97 apartments and two commercial kitchens in the building.
The care center earned its rebate on the new boiler’s 92 percent efficiency rating.
The project will save The Mercy Community approximately 58 percent in natural gas usage on an annual basis.
