W. Hartford apartments fetch $2.8M

An Old Saybrook investor has purchased an 18-unit apartment building in West Hartford for $2.8 million.

An LLC headed by Sandor Seidman purchased Tiffany Apartments, located at 787 Farmington Ave., in late May, according to public records.

The seller was longtime owner Tiffany House LLC, headed by Joseph and Elizabeth Searing of Coventry, who were represented by Rick Chozick of Hartford-based Chozick Realty.

The three-story apartment complex was built in 1973 and sits on half an acre, close to Whiting Lane Elementary School. Most of the 18 units contain two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and they also feature private balconies and garage parking under the building.

Chozick said the buyer plans “a full cosmetic upgrade of the apartments and common areas to enhance the property and resident experience as well as to add value.”

The property was on the market for just one week, according to Chozick.
