Nancy Greene Curtiss, a longtime Phoenix Cos. executive who moved with Virtus Investment Partners Inc. when it was spun off from Phoenix in late 2008, will retire on June 30, Virtus said Thursday.
Curtiss, 55, is executive vice president in charge of operations at Virtus, a Hartford investment manager and advisor.
Virtus disclosed her impending retirement in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In it, Virtus CEO George R. Aylward thanked Curtiss for her years of service.
“Nancy will be missed and we are all extremely grateful to her for her exceptional contribution to our company over the years in many aspects of the business, particularly in connection with our spin-off from our former parent,” Aylward said. “We wish her the best in the future.”
Curtiss also is a principal and treasurer of the Zweig Total Return Fund Inc., among others in Virtus’ fund portfolio.
According to a BusinessWeek.com profile, she had been a treasurer in mulitiple Phoenix funds since 1994. In 2003, Curtiss became a Phoenix vice president and three years later was named a senior vice president of Phoenix Portfolios.
