Hartford asset manager Virtus Investment Partners Inc. named Mark S. Flynn to a new post as general counsel and chief compliance officer.
Flynn also has the title of executive vice president.
He is oversees all legal affairs, including managing outside counsel.
Flynn previously was chief legal officer and corporate secretary for iBasis Inc., an international telecommunications carrier. Â Before that, he was general counsel and secretary for Imagistics International Inc., a document imaging equipment company, and earlier as a partner in the Business Practice Group of law firm Wiggin & Dana, LLP
He also was senior deputy general counsel of Olin Corp., a diversified chemicals and materials company.
Flynn has BS and law degrees from Fordham University.
