Virginia realty service acquires Hartford’s Final Trac

Virginia-based real estate documentation tracker reQuire said it has acquired Hartford’s Final Trac LLC for an undisclosed sum.

Final Trac, which offers title clearing and lien tracking services to real estate agents and others, was founded in 2006. It is headquartered on Arbor Street.

ReQuire was founded in 2000 and offers similar services. It bills itself as the largest release tracking company in the country.

The two companies say their services offer a way to minimize costs and delays for buyers, agents, loan officers, attorneys and others involved in the sale of real estate subject to mortgage liens or defective titles.

Final Trac CEO Linda Aparo, whose new title is director of sales and marketing, said in a statement that her Hartford team is also a part of the transaction, representing a second operations center for reQuire, which was drawn by Final Trac’s customer relationships.

Aparo said her team will have access to better technology as a result of the deal.
