The tribal operators of Mohegan Sun have promoted one of its longtime executives as assistant general manager of the casino.
Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) on Thursday named Kevin Lowry as assistant general manager after he spent recent years as vice president and chief financial officer for Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
As assistant general manager, Lowry will report to Mohegan President and General Manager Jeffrey Hamilton and oversee finance, gaming, cashiering, and tenant and retail operations at Mohegan.
During his tenure with MGE, Lowry previously held positions as analyst; senior analyst of budgets and analysis manager; director of financial planning and analysis; and vice president of financial planning and analysis.
“Kevin has been a member of the Mohegan family for more than 20 years and served Mohegan Sun Connecticut faithfully since we opened our doors in 1996,” MGE CEO Mario Kontomerkos said in a statement.
Lowry’s promotion comes a month after MGE named Ray Pineault chief operating officer after he spent the previous seven months as regional president of Mohegan Sun, and MGE’s subsidiary venues in Pennsylvania and Louisiana.
