Vernon’s Rockville General Hospital says it will reopen Tuesday its revamped cafeteria.
The cafeteria at 31 Union St. underwent extensive renovation that includes new floors, updated lighting, chairs, tables and banquette seating, window treatments, wall coverings and fresh murals.
At 3:15 p.m. opening ceremony will feature hospital and bank officials who will use surgical scissors to cut a ribbon of hospital gauze.
The work was partly funded with a $157,000 grant from the Rockville Bank Foundation, which also is contributing to the renovation of Manchester Memorial Hospital’s lobby this spring, authorities said.
