A Vernon financial outfit affiliated with Connecticut’s largest vendor of concert and entertainment tickets is putting up $1.6 million in financing for a 14-unit Guilford luxury housing development.
Entertainment Financial LLC says on its website that it provides commercial loans for builders, contractors and developers. It also identifies itself as an affiliate of TicketNetwork Inc., also in Vernon.
Amity Construction & Design of Hamden received the financing for its project, Benton Knolls at Sachem’s Head, a planned community of single-family, two and three bedroom homes priced around $800,000.
The project, although approved by Guilford, has run into criticism from neighbors concerned about its environmental impact.
A TicketNetwork spokeswoman said CEO Donald Vaccaro has no plans to buy or live in the subdivision.
