Vernon’s TEK Industries, which makes printed circuit board assemblies, said it’s been acquired by a Vermont-based manufacturing group.
TEK said the deal with North Hartland Tool Corp. allows it to offer more services and capabilities to customers. The companies within North Hartland Tool serve many of the same industries, including medical and aerospace.
The deal actually took place at the beginning of the year, Jeffrey Desreuisseau, Tek’s Northeast regional manager, said Friday.
He said the company delayed the announcement to give them time to work out the transition.
That has included moving two subsidiaries in the group — North Hartland Engineering and Carl Associates — to TEK’s facility at 48 Hockanum Blvd. in Vernon. That process was completed about a week ago, Desreuisseau said. Between the three companies, there are upwards of 30 employees in Vernon, he said, about half of which are TEK employees.
Other subsidiaries within the North Hartland group include Vermont Mold & Tool and Vermont Micro-drilling, both based in Barnet, Vt.
